When next we speak, dear blogosphere, Sweet Pea will be out (and, hopefully, home). We’re heading over to the hospital now, to start the induction process. Not the Pitocin right away; we’re starting with something that encourages dilation and effacement with the hopes that this’ll get contractions going on their own.
Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. Gerard Majella, Raymond Nonnatus, Margaret of Antioch – the whole crew – we could use a little assistance. Please, everyone, know your efforts are appreciated.

well…. after hours of waiting, i finally called and got “grandpa” who informed that prudence victoria had arrived and everyone was well. while keelin is a bit distraught by her lack of a new title, we all are thrilled with “sweet pea’s” arrivial and cannot wait to meet her!

Prudence Victoria Dwyer, where are you? By now your mom and dad MUST have snapped at least 250 photos of you and your friends and fans (not to mention your very own relatives) are waiting with baited breath for a peek. Are you a blond or a brunette? (We KNOW you have blue eyes — for a while at least.) Do you have your dad’s sense of humor? Can you play an instrument? Don’t even think about becoming a Red Sox fan.
We love you to bits already (even sight unseen) and can’t wait to meet you in person. I imagine you’ll be hearing from your Great Uncle Phil (GUP — his initials are better than mine, don’t you think?) very soon.
Hugs and congrats to your mom and dad. They done good!
XOXO
