Pru has been much more active during daytime hours today. That is, she hasn’t been sleeping in four-hour chunks punctuated by quick diaper changes and feedings, like the first few days. Instead, she’s been sleeping an hour here and an hour there, waking up neither needing to be changed nor particularly hungry, and requiring substantial hug-time to get back to sleep. Pretty much her usual nighttime schedule since she came home. Does this mean she’s transitioning to being a diurnal rather than a nocturnal baby? Or is she turning into some kind of terrifying, 24 hour superbaby? Only time will tell.

i hate to tell you this, but the epidural is wearing off… the first week keelin was home she was the perfect baby – lots of sleep, etc., etc. then the epidural wore off and her schedule was, well what she wanted it to be! it’s a bit of a struggle to get them back into the habit of sleeping (so you can too!), but keep at it. be flexible and pliable – the name of the game in parenting!

Patrick the answer is the law will say that if you have any signs you are gltuiy of DUI. Today with a video camera in each patrol car you video the person and then the jury can see the state of the person. We had dui before there were alcohol tests. Plus I suspect that if Pot were legal some enterprising person would figure out a good test for it. The main issue is that some think people should not be able to mask the desperation of their lives that suffering is good and makes one stronger. People given the chance will medicate to make the pain go duller at a minimum.
